Does Cobb have a burble tune?

This is an option to get a burble tune created for any Cobb Off The Shelf (OTS) map. We will create a new separate tune with this featured added that you can flash and use. The burble effect is simply some pops or exhaust crackle between shifts or when coasting in gear above 3200 rpms.

How much do Cobb maps cost?

Purchase this if you need a base map for your setup. The price for most builds is 150.00.

What is OTS tuning?

An OTS tune is a tune that they think SHOULD work well for your car and the mods that the deem “Stage 2″(whatever that means). Whereas an e-tune will be tuned to your specific car via data logs that you’re sending back to the tuner.

How much HP does a Cobb tuner add?

Are Cobb tunes Vin locked?

It is not permanently locked to any ECU. Also, the SCT limits your unlocks, the Cobb does not.

How much power does a Cobb Stage 1 add?

Does Cobb BPV need a tune?

A: Tuning is not required for BOV’s, so you will be just fine to bolt this right up!

Does a Cobb air intake need a tune?

A: The only thing required for the intake is a custom tune or the Cobb AccessPort and nothing else is needed.

Do you need tune for Cobb intake?

All aftermarket intakes for Subarus require tuning, regardless of manufacturer, in order to ensure the MAF sensor reads properly and the engine operates within safe parameters. COBB Tuning has you covered with Off-The-Shelf Maps for the Accessport, making it as easy as install, flash and go!

Does burble hurt turbos?

Yes it could possibly wear out your O2’s and stock DP quicker but it wouldn’t do serious damage your car. If it’s excessive you will be washing cylinder walls.

Do burble tunes hurt the engine?

There is a threshold where burble tunes are mostly benign and where they become genuinely harmful. Cracks and light pops are fine, but when it becomes gunshots there is almost surely damage being done. Igniting fuel in the exhaust causes excess heat and is hard on the manifolds.

Does a burble tune burn more gas?

Burbles tunes will use more fuel on average too but it’s small to some people and negligible to others.

Do you have to leave Cobb Accessport plugged in?

The Accessport does not need to be plugged into the vehicle for the calibration to be in effect. You can disconnect the Accessport at this time or leave it plugged in to use any of the many features outlined below. Please note that the Accessport is designed to work with only one vehicle at a time.

Can you still tune with Cobb Accessport?

A: Yes! Your Accessport can still be used to tune your car just like you always have. Your Accessport still has the same functionality it had prior to the change that was made to our Accesstuner custom tuning software.

Does EcuTek have OTS maps?

EcuTek doesn’t make OTS Maps, so that’s down to the tuner. The 2021 is happier on pumpgas and often makes more power due to the lower compression. Both really make the same power on ethanol. Feel free to contact me if you ever have any questions at all.

Does a AOS need a tune?

The advantage of the Street AOS is that because it retains the same connections and intent as the factory plumbing, you can install the Street AOS without needing to tune the car for it.

Can you custom tune a stock ECU?

Modified Stock ECU Using a real time programmer in place of the eeprom chip on the ECU board, a custom tune can be performed. A modified stock ECU allows for direct control over all functions of the factory ECU, so excellent performance, fuel economy, and overall running can be achieved.

Is Stage 1 or 2 better?

Stage 2 tune provides higher power gains than stage 1 but is more complex since you will have to remap the engine, get additional components, and perform expert-level modifications on the parts. Getting a larger turbo or a hybrid turbo in your vehicle is an example of a stage 2 tune.
